School-Based Independent Evaluations

Parents of school-age children have the right to request an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) when they disagree with the school district's assessment of their child's speech and language needs. Robyn provides independent evaluations for children currently receiving or seeking speech-language services through their public school.
An independent evaluation from a specialist in oral motor, orofacial myofunctional, and motor-based speech sound disorders can provide critical insight that a school-based evaluation may not capture. Robyn's reports are detailed, evidence-based, and written to be used in IEP meetings and due process proceedings.
School-based consultation and independent evaluation services include:
- Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) for speech-language services
- Second opinion evaluations for Childhood Apraxia of Speech
- Consultation for IEP teams regarding oral motor and myofunctional needs
- Written reports suitable for IEP and due process use
- Attendance at IEP meetings upon request
