Mouths in Motion Mentoring

Mouths in Motion Mentoring

Mouths in Motion is a clinical mentoring program created by Robyn Merkel-Walsh and Lori Overland for speech-language pathologists, myofunctional therapists, and other professionals seeking advanced training in Oral Placement Therapy, Tethered Oral Tissues, orofacial myofunctional therapy, and related specialties.

Many clinicians graduate with limited exposure to oral motor, feeding, and myofunctional intervention. Mouths in Motion fills that gap with hands-on, evidence-based mentoring that translates directly into improved clinical outcomes for your patients.

Mentoring topics include:

  • Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) — tools, techniques, and clinical reasoning
  • Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs) — functional assessment and pre/post frenectomy therapy
  • Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) — protocols and patient management
  • Feeding therapy — sensory-motor framework and tool use
  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech — differential diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Case review and documentation guidance

Mentoring is available in person and via teletherapy. Please visit the schedule page to inquire about availability.
